UPCOMING EVENTS


College Planning Night- Thursday, September 15th, 6:00 in the High School Library. Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors and parents: learn about preparing, choosing, comparing, and affording college!
 UNI College Fair- Tuesday, September 20th, 9-11:00 at the Dome. All Juniors will attend after their first class!

PAL Meeting- Working on setting a date.

ASVAB Testing- Wednesday, November 9th, 8:10 in the High School library. Any Sophomore, Junior, or Senior can take the test. Please sign up by September 23rd in the guidance office if you will be participating. This test will help students investigate sensible career options. The school, students, or parents will determine if the results are released to any military recruiting service.

Financial Aid Night- Tuesday, January 10th, 5:15 in the High School library

Seniors who have not taken the ACTs and want to apply to colleges need to take them ASAP. You can register online at www.actstudent.org

ACT PREP: Use the test prep booklet that can be found in the guidance office next to registration materials. I would also highly encourage you to use the "Getting into the ACT" book which can be found in our library. This book has four practice tests, and is a great resource! More practice tests and tips available from the ACT.ORG website!!

The best preparation for any standardized test is the coursework you have been completing in your classes! Take advantages of what your teachers are teaching you.
